whirterSeattle, WA: Pacific Fishermen Shipyard and Electric, LLC announced today that it has appointed long‐time PFI Marine Electric employee Jeremy McWhirter as Electrical Division Manager. Following Pacific Fishermen’s purchase of Lunde Electric Company in 2004, Jeremy has served as UL Certified Panel Shop Manager of PFI Marine Electric’s facility at Pacific Fishermen Shipyard.

Jeremy’s responsibilities as Manager will include direct supervision of PFI Marine Electric’s Union Trade Electricians, UL Panel Shop and PFI Marine Electric operations in Dutch Harbor at Lunde North. PFI Marine Electric has been responsible for extensive new construction projects providing everything from switchboards and lighting to complete wiring services on site for a number of Pacific Northwest builders of premier yachts.

Anacortes, WA Northern Marine Yachts 150′ Ward Setzer design M/Y LIA FAIL and the 151′ Jonathan Quinn Barnett design M/Y AFTER EIGHT and M/Y BELLA BRI yachts were all turn‐key electrical designs by PFI Marine Electric, from switchboards to full electrical wiring, with NightWatch monitoring systems. Similar switchboard support has been provided to Seattle’s Delta Marine Yachts M/Y TRITON and M/Y GRAN FINALE with design upgrades for the yacht CV‐9. After extensive fire damages, the yacht M/Y EMERALD FJORDS was completely rewired during rebuild at the Pacific Fishermen Shipyard.

PFI Marine Electric maintains a local mobile base, outfitted with all the materials required to effectively perform electrical repairs in the Puget Sound region at local shipyards and dockside facilities. PFI Marine Electric worked closely with the owner of the 1968 MARCO 94’ series king crabber F/V KEVLEEN K to retrofit a NightWatch shipboard monitoring system. PFI Marine Electric is the local dealer for NightWatch systems, www.night‐watch.com, which has several recent installations including Abeking Rasmussen, Paragon, Palmer Johnson and the Pierce County ferry CHRISTINE ANDERSON.
